What shipping methods does Hobby Hobby use?
We use Canada Post and FedEx. We usually ship with the one that costs less. If you prefer to use another shipper other then Canada Post, or FedEx, just let us know.
Please Note: We can only ship to the billing address of the credt card holder.
Can Hobby Hobby ship overseas?
No. We only ship to Canada, and United States of America.
What is the cost of shipping?
Rather than charging flat rates for shipping, Hobby Hobby rates are based on actual Canada Post or FedEx shipping costs for each parcel and destination. Our site cannot determine the weight and dimensions of each package. We charge you exactly what what the shipping companies charge us, with the exception that we charge a minimum of $5.00 for shipping. PLEASE NOTE: There is a minimum delivery charge of $5.00 for all orders.
What forms of payment does Hobby Hobby accept?
For mail-order we accept Visa and Master card
For in store purchases, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit cards, and Cash.
We do not ship C.O.D.
When is my credit card charged?
When you have checked out from the shopping cart, the bank pre-authorizes your credit card for the amount of the order.
When we are ready to ship, we add the shipping charges to the pre-athorized amount, and complete the transaction.
We do not process any payments until we have the product, and ready to ship, with exception to some special order Items, that are to be paid in full upon ordering, and may not be returned.
What products are considered as special order item?
Any product that has a stock availability status, as; Contact us for Availability, is considered to be a special order item.
How will I know when my order is shipped?
We will send out an e-mail with your tracking number to you.
How long will it take Hobby Hobby to get Items that are out of stock?
Most items that are out of stock can be ordered in within one week. If you order something that is out of stock, we will let you know when we would get the item in. If you would like to know stock availability before you place your order, Click on the product, and the inventory status should appear. You may also e-mail us.
Can I order on line, and pick up my order at the store?
Yes you can pick up your order at the store. When the order is picked up, we will need to take an imprint of the credit card that was used with the order. The card, and the person the card belongs to has to be present. If you prefer, you can also pay by cash, or debit card when the order is picked up.
